Dear All,
Today I have several projects on the same server, some related to Doors DB instance 7.1, 8.2, 8.3, 9.2
I have now for many reason to upgrade some of these projects to Doors 9.3 without changing the others.
Could you share your opinion, even technical note, to make live together Doors DB instance 9.3 and 9.2 on the same server.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Cheers,
MMGG

All other databases can live together, so I see no reason why 9.2 and 9.3 cannot (but not tried it).
I don't recall the rules, however, but you may need to install v9.3 and then RE-Install v9.2, as the v9.3 install by erase the v9.2 install; hate it when it does that.
If your data directory is inside your program install directory, perhaps c:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\DOORS\9.2\data, then you may have a problem when v9.3 uninstalls v9.2. That a big no-no anyway, always put your data somewhere else (perhaps c:\DataBases\DOORS\9.2).
When you get both working, you could shut down both services and copy the v9.2 to the v9.3 data location, and fire up both services. Then proceed to purge each and every project, EITHER from the old v9.2 OR the new v9.3.

Hi llandale,
Thanks for your contribution.
Could you please provide me some information (links, etc...) from IBM on these ? Or any contact person ?
Thanks.
